The Expressive Spirit Studio at the Livestock Exchange

Welcome to The Expressive Spirit Studio, located in the historic Livestock Exchange Building in Kansas City’s vibrant West Bottoms. Formerly, the heart of the Kansas City Stockyards with the original site of the American Royal, this historic area was dedicated to the livestock sales and transport across the country.

This intimate and inspiring space showcases my available artwork in a range of sizes, alongside the evocative rural landscape photography of
Michael Turner. The studio also serves as a sanctuary for Restorative Expressive Arts—offering private sessions and small group workshops designed to nurture creative emotional well-being and support resiliency development. Details about current offerings can be found on the workshop page of the website. Studio hours are by appointment only. To learn more or schedule a visit, please contact me at 913-395-3300.

While you are here, check out the other artists that are housed on the 5th floor, grab a bite to eat and the Ox Cafe or stay for dinner at The Golden Ox.  Grab a cold brew and snacks at Stockyards Brewery!  Mosey across the street to the famous Grimm Tattoo and add some flash or check out the experience of Voltaire and Amigoni  Urban Winery!   Make sure to check out the first floors Kiosk Gallery and Haw Contemporary across the street as well as other artist studios, shops, eateries and galleries on the North side like La Monarka, The Ship, Good Ju Ju and Bella Patina.

West Bottoms First Friday Weekends and Livestock Exchange Open Studio Nights are a one of a kind KC experience!

I offer special weekday sessions by appointment, during the week between Christmas and New Year's and the summer.
